  • Every home begins with understanding the people who live within it. For this home, the vision was simple: a space that feels warm, inviting, and comfortable, designed to support the rhythms of daily life for the homeowners and their two lively cats.

In the living room, a pet-friendly white sofa from Bless Brothers was chosen to comfortably withstand everyday life with their feline companions. Darker-toned throws and cushions from Bolia add warmth and contrast, while a wooden coffee table from Journey East, featuring a solid timber top and woven rattan base, introduces natural texture into the space.

As the home transitions into the dining area and kitchen, the material palette deepens with darker wood laminates across the bespoke carpentry, complemented by brick-red kit-kat tiles featured on the kitchen backsplash that bring warmth and character to the space. Although selecting the right tile required careful consideration, the final choice became a defining feature of the kitchen, tying the darker material palette together while adding richness and texture.

Developed through a collaborative design process, every detail reflects the homeowners' lifestyle and personal preferences. A Louis Poulsen pendant light, layered lighting with dimmer controls by Sol Luminaire, and thoughtfully planned lighting throughout the home accommodate the couple's differing preferences, balancing brighter illumination for the husband with a softer, more intimate atmosphere for the wife.

Personal touches, from stainless steel accents and quirky cat collectibles to treasured keepsakes gathered over the years, add warmth and character, creating a home that feels welcoming, deeply personal, and uniquely theirs.

Originally a four-room home, the layout was reimagined to better accommodate the couple's lifestyle. By combining one of the common bedrooms with the master bedroom, this layout creates room for both a restful sleeping area and a useful, dedicated vanity. Bespoke carpentry, including a full-height wardrobe and a built-in storage nook, keeps everyday essentials neatly organised without compromising the openness of the room.

Working with the existing bathroom wall tiles became an opportunity to build on what was already there. Rather than replacing them, the surrounding materials were carefully selected to integrate the retained tiles seamlessly into the overall design. Brick-red textured tiles from Hafary introduce warmth and depth, while the mirror echoes the same stone-inspired detailing, bringing the material palette together.
