Designed for a young family seeking a fresh start, this older unit underwent a complete overhaul, transforming it into a minimalist home that prioritises clarity, functionality, and everyday comfort. Rather than simply modernising the interior, the design focused on creating a home that could grow with the family over time, balancing practical living with timeless materials and meaningful details.
The living room sets the tone for the home through thoughtful spatial planning and a restrained material palette. The TV feature wall introduces subtle character, while its curved form reinforces the design language carried throughout the home. Sheer day curtains from Everyday Curtains gently filter natural light, creating a bright, airy atmosphere that enhances the sense of openness. Curved steps gently define the transition into the dining area, introducing a subtle sense of separation while maintaining visual continuity. Engineered wood flooring flows throughout, reinforcing a cohesive material palette and encouraging a natural flow between spaces.
In the dining area, an antique table passed down through the family was retained and given new life with a Dekton top from Cosentino, preserving its original character while allowing it to become part of the home's next chapter. By reimagining a treasured heirloom rather than replacing it, the design celebrates the stories it carries while ensuring it continues creating memories for generations to come.
The kitchen continues the home's understated approach through a carefully curated palette of durable, timeless materials. Travertine-inspired Dekton surfaces from Cosentino extend across both the dry and wet areas, creating a continuous surface that enhances the sense of openness while introducing subtle warmth and texture. Chosen for their refined appearance and long-term durability, the materials support the demands of everyday family life while remaining effortlessly elegant. Ample storage and display cabinetry were thoughtfully incorporated to accommodate the homeowners' extensive collection of spirits, creating a practical yet welcoming setting for entertaining family and friends.

Clean lines, soft finishes, and an uncluttered layout create a restful environment designed to support moments of pause at the beginning and end of each day.
