The Weave

Every home begins with understanding the people who live within it. For this home, the vision was simple: a space that feels warm, inviting, and comfortable while thoughtfully accommodating every member of the family, including their two lively cats.
As the home transitions into the dining area and kitchen, the material palette deepens with darker wood laminates across the bespoke carpentry, complemented by brick-red kit-kat tiles featured on the kitchen backsplash that bring warmth and character to the space. Although selecting the right tile required careful consideration, the final choice became a defining feature of the kitchen, tying the darker material palette together while adding richness and texture.
In the living room, a pet-friendly white sofa from Bless Brothers was chosen to comfortably withstand everyday life with their feline companions. Darker-toned throws and cushions from Bolia add warmth and contrast, while a wooden coffee table from Journey East, featuring a solid timber top and woven rattan base, introduces natural texture.
Throughout the home, carefully curated pieces reflect the couple's personalities, from the wife's love for stainless steel accents and quirky cat collectibles to treasured keepsakes gathered over the years. Together, these elements create a home that is uniquely theirs, a personal sanctuary shaped by their habits, memories, and the things they love, where everyday moments unfold with ease and familiarity.
Working with the existing bathroom wall tiles presented another opportunity for considered design. Rather than replacing them, the surrounding materials and finishes were carefully selected so the retained tiles felt intentional within the overall design. New brick-red tiles from Hafary were introduced to complement the existing finishes, while the mirror draws on the same red stone-inspired detailing, tying the material palette together cohesively.
Like the rest of the home, the result is a space that feels deeply personal, carefully considered, and made to be lived in.
